Box Score HOLLAND, Mich. – Playing its third game in four days, Albion College may have run out of energy to keep up with Hope College.
The Flying Dutch scored a 2-0 victory by dominating the run of play. Hope finished the night with a 23-2 advantage in shots and a 7-1 edge in shots on goal. Elizabeth Perkins put a rebound in the net in the 28th minute and Erin Jipping got free for a breakaway goal in the 36th minute.
Domenique Sarnecky placed Albion's only shot on goal late in the first half. Sam LaRocca was credited with a shot in the second half.
Briton goalkeeper Maggie Troost was credited with five saves.
Albion, now 4-1 overall, returns home Thursday to host Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Alma College. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Alumni Field.
