GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Tyler Covell posted his sixth round of the season in the 70s as Albion College finished fifth in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's golf jamboree at the Watermark Country Club.

Albion finished with a 316 total and was just two strokes off the pace set by fourth-place Adrian College.

Calvin College (296) was first, followed by Trine University (304) and Hope College (309).

Covell was consistent, scoring 38 on the front nine and 39 on the back.

Jim Chapman and Connor Maddalena produced rounds of 79 and Justin Leeds completed Albion's total with a round of 81. For Chapman, it was his best round of the season.

The seventh MIAA Jamboree of the season is scheduled for Saturday at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.
