Box Score ADA, Ohio – Shelby Stephens buried a penalty kick in the 88th minute to lift Ohio Northern University to a 1-0 victory over Albion College in non-league women's soccer action.
Albion goalkeeper Maggie Troost stopped the first six shots she faced.
Alyssa Brooks took Albion's first shot of the night in the 65th minute. Jenna Urso recorded the Britons' only shot on goal in the 71st minute.
Albion was awarded a pair of corner kicks in the final 25 minutes. Brooks sent a shot high of the goal on the first attempt. Urso took a corner kick with less than 30 seconds remaining, but the Britons were unable to get a scoring chance.
Albion, now 1-1 on the young season, will drive south to Westerville, Ohio, for a Saturday night match against Otterbein University.
