GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Jake Burris won the 1-meter diving competition and Mac Robertson was the runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle on the opening day of competition in the Calvin Quadranglar.
Burris achieved a 43-point margin of victory in diving, finishing with a 502.80 total. Jake Maurer (414.80) was fourth, with O'Shea Swinton (295) ninth and Joshua Pemberton (242) 10th.
Robertson completed the freestyle in 4:54.91.
Derek Bosko had a 21.83 leadoff split in the 200 freestyle relay as Albion finished fourth in 1:27.83. Nate Kozycki, Troy Trombley and Matt Anderson joined him in the relay.
Albion also took third in the 400 medley relay. Ian Moran, Matt Hooper, Kozycki and Bosko achieved a time of 3:33.97.
