ALBION, Mich. – Lauren Solano and Heather Vogt were winners in doubles and singles to lead Albion College to a 6-3 victory over Adrian College in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's tennis opener for both teams.

Vogt, playing at No. 1 doubles with Lauren Rasmussen, gained a 8-2 victory over Morgan Spencer and Arielle Williams. Vogt was extended to three sets (6-2, 4-6, 6-4) in defeating Williams at No. 1 singles.

Solano, playing No. 2 doubles with Chrissy Gauss, gained a 8-5 victory over Amber Laginess and Victoria Watson. Solano had little trouble in defeating Watson (6-0, 6-2) at No. 2 singles.

Olivia Conover clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 5 singles, and Rachel Barry added a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6 singles.

Albion, 8-2 overall, has a Saturday home match against MIAA rival Trine University.
