Box Score HOLLAND, Mich. – Goalkeeper Maggie Troost collected nine saves, but she was under tremendous pressure all night as Albion College lost a 3-1 decision to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Hope College.
Rachel deMarigny produced a goal and an assist as Hope forged a 2-0 lead in the first half.
Albion scored on its lone shot on goal of the night. Jenna Urso struck for her first goal of the season midway through the second half, finishing a pass from Sarah Castellano.
Elizabeth Perkins prevented Albion's comeback hope when she scored with 4 ½ minutes left in regulation.
The box score reports Hope finished with a 24-3 advantage in shots. Urso had two shots in the contest and Riley Burnette was credited with the other for the Britons.
Albion returns to the friendly confines of the Davis Athletic Complex at noon Saturday for a matchup with Trine University.
