Gauss Improves To 3-0 In Duals

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – Albion College was unable to build on the 2-1 lead it gained in doubles as it absorbed a 6-3 setback at Lawrence Tech in Sunday women's tennis action.

Chrissy Gauss produced Albion's singles point. Playing at No. 4 in the lineup, she won a tiebreaker to decide the first set and finished the match with a 6-4 score in the second set. Gauss is 3-0 in dual matches this season.

Olivia Conover and Lauren Solano, Albion's No. 2 doubles team, improved to 3-0 in duals with an 8-4 victory.

Albion also picked up a point at No. 3 doubles where Kelsi Inman and Marceline Redick emerged with an 8-4 win.

Albion returns home Tuesday for a home match against local rival Spring Arbor University.
