Burris, Kimbrell, Robertson win two events in swim/dive meet

ALBION, Mich. – Calvin College took first place in the final two events to rally for a 149 ½ - 138 ½ victory over Albion College in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's swimming and diving dual meet.

The Britons surged in the middle of the meet as Tyler Kimbrell and Andrew Jonna finished one-two in the 200-yard breaststroke and Mac Robertson and Tommy Trueax did likewise in the 500 freestyle.

Albion also outscored Calvin in diving when Jake Burris and Jonathan Cronick were unopposed. Burris still turned in outstanding scores of 313.65 in the 1-meter competition and 322.30 on the 3-meter board.

Kimbrell and Robertson won two events in the meet. Kimbrell edged Calvin's Sam Holstege in the 100 breaststroke, and Robertson won the 1,000 freestyle by four seconds over Calvin's Brian Goins.

Albion will return to the Dean Aquatic Center on Saturday for a 1 0'clock dual meet against MIAA rival Alma College.
