Albion men swim past MIAA rival

OLIVET, Mich. – With the start of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Swimming & Diving Championships 11 days away, Albion College throttled down, but it still had enough to score a 170-67 victory over Olivet College in a Saturday dual meet.

Evan Wonner had the heaviest load, swimming on the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams and adding a first place individual swim in the 200-yard freestyle.

Jake Huttenlocher (50 freestyle, 100 butterfly) and Mac Robertson (50 breaststroke, 200 IM) took first place in two individual events and Jake Burris finished with the high score in both diving events.

Albion will now make its final preparations for the MIAA Championship which begin Feb. 20 at the Holland Aquatic Center.
