Box Score ALBION, Mich. - A second-half push for the Albion Britons helps secure its fourth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association win in a row over Kalamazoo 109-94. The Britons were led by Jamezell Davis Jr. and MJ Barnes. Davis and Barnes shot a combined 16-25 from three-point range and totaled 57 points between the two of them.
"We figured out early on that offense wasn't going to be a problem. 44 points is a lot for us in a half." Head Coach Jody May said. "In the second half, we did a much better job defending and not giving up easy opportunities for them."
After trailing by one at halftime, Albion came out strong with a 28-6 run over the first nine minutes of the second half. Five Britons scored in double figures tonight which made it tough for the Kalamazoo defense.
"When we are hitting threes like that and we have our two big guys inside with Caden Ebeling and Quinton Armstrong, we are pretty hard to defend."
Caden Ebeling recorded his fourth double-double of the season including this one coming in back to back games. The Britons assisted 26 of 39 field goals and generated 17 points off of 13 turnovers.
