The victory by the women's doubles team of freshman Breh Ruger and sophomore Saige Jost was the lone highlight for Albion Monday as it fell to Mount Vernon Nazarene University of Ohio, 8-1, in Hilton Head. S.C.

Ruger and Jost defeated Hailey Clayborn and Ashley Weber, 8-3. Ruger also played well in her singles match, falling in a tie-breaker to Hannah Fugate.

The women, now 1-5 on the season, return to action in Hilton Head Wednesday against Methodist University.
