WACO, Tex. -- Albion College head football coach Dustin Beurer has been named the AFCA Regional Coach of the Year, as announced on Monday morning. Beurer was one of five Division III coaches selected, earning the honor from Region 4.

Leading the Britons to their second consecutive MIAA Championship, Beurer guided the team to a 9-2 finish, including their first NCAA Playoff berth since 2015.

Through three seasons at the helm of the program, Beurer holds a 20-4 record overall, including a pair of conference championships. This season, the Britons saw 13 players earn All-MIAA status, including the Offensive and Defensive MVPs (Justin Thomas, Mitch Arendsen). 

Beurer and the Britons will await D3Football.com All-Region selections, which will be announced later this week.
