ALBION -- On Saturday, the Albion College women's tennis team fell to Alma College, 7-2. The Scots won two doubles matches and five singles matches in the Albion loss.
At third doubles, Morgan DeRose and Grace Lorenzoni picked up the lone win for the Britons, 8-6. At second doubles, Breh Ruger and Savannah McDonald narrowly fell to their opponents, falling 8-7 (2).
Alma took the first four singles matches before DeRose picked up a win at fifth singles, 1-6, 6-4, 10-3. Senior Mya Duncan narrowly missed a win at third singles, dropping her match 6-4, 6-4.
Albion will be back in action on Mar. 6 when they host Olivet for a 10 a.m. match.
