Box Score ADRIAN, Mich. -- On the road, the No. 8 Albion College men's basketball team responded to a tough loss two nights ago, defeating Adrian College, 81-70. Backed by a 34 point, 13 rebound effort by Caden Ebeling, the Britons ended the first half on a run to build to a double-digit lead at the half.
The 34 points set a new career-high for Ebeling, as he was a near-perfect 14 of 15 from the charity stripe.
Junior Cortez Garland added 15 points, as Mark Tocco scored a career-high 10 points.
Devin Holmes set a new career-high, grabbing nine rebounds in the win.
In a back and forth first half, the teams traded baskets and leads. With the score knotted at 28, the Britons closed out the final five minutes of the half on a 17-7 run for a 10-point lead at the break.
Out of the half, Albion kept the momentum, building to a 52-35 advantage. With 10 minutes to play, the visitors held a 21 point lead. Despite the Bulldogs chipping away, Albion's lead grew to a sufficient amount and the4 hosts were unable to catch up.
Senior Juwan Perry finished with four assists and three steals -- both game-highs.
Capitalizing when getting to the line, Albion shot 83 percent from the foul line. Adrian shot a mere 63 percent. The Britons outrebounded Adrian, 43-26. Through four games, Albion is averaging 87.5 points per game
Albion improves to 3-1 on the season while the Bulldogs drop to 1-9. Due to the MIAA schedule, this game does not count towards conference competition.
On Saturday, the Britons return home to face an undefeated No. 6 Trine team. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
