Tough road loss for women's soccer

Box Score

HOLLAND, Mich. -- One early goal was the difference in the Albion College women's soccer team's 1-0 loss to Hope College on Thursday evening. A few bad bounces off a corner kick cost the Britons in the game.

Less than 10 minutes into the game, the Flying Dutch scored off a corner kick.

Albion had its chances throughout the night, outshooting Hope, 11-5.

"It was a tough game, result aside, but I'm happy with the performance," said head coach Eric Scott. "I'm proud of everyone, and give Hope credit for getting after it all night … It's always fun to come here and compete."

Goalkeeper Romee Natschke tallied three saves in the loss.

The Britons will be off until Apr. 9 when they travel to Calvin University. The game is currently scheduled for 7 p.m.
