Box Score ALBION, Mich. -- On Senior Night, Claire Stoddard delivered the lone goal in the Albion College women's soccer team's 1-0 win over Trine University. Stoddard was one of eight seniors the Britons honored in the pregame festivities.
Despite having chances early, Albion was unable to connect until the 39th minute. After a free kick was awarded to Albion, Stoddard drilled a shot into the upper left corner, giving the Britons the 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
The Britons could not extend their lead in the second half, but the one goal was enough as the back line held steady for the entire match.
Goalkeeper Romee Natschke made four saves in the clean sheet.
Prior to the game, Albion recognized seniors Stoddard, Clare Kelley, Maggie Shrader, Kayla Sharp, Autumn Simpson, Emily Brittain and December graduates Courtney Lamrouex and Kameryn Szalay.
Albion wraps up the regular season on Thursday evening when they host Adrian College. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
