ALBION, Mich. -- A dreary night mirrored the outcome of the Albion College men's soccer team's 1-0 loss to Defiance College. The Britons had a number of opportunities throughout the contest to find the equalizer, but the Defiance keeper kept coming up with clutch saves.
Defiance's lone goal game just five minutes into the match, when a rebound found the foot of a Yellow Jacket striker, who beat
Anton Favre with the shot.
Favre totaled four saves in goal.
The Britons outshot the Yellow Jackets, 22-8, and held a significant edge in corners, 10-2.
Albion travels to Heidelberg on Saturday for a noon kickoff.
