TIFFIN, Ohio -- It was a tough day in Tiffin, as the Albion College men's soccer team was defeated by Heidelberg University, 4-1.
Two goals by the Student Princes in the first half have the hosts a 2-0 lead at the break.
Albion's lone score came in the 54th minute when junior
Carter Peek hammered home a penalty kick. The strike was Peek's second goal of the season.
Heidelberg answered less than ten minutes later by scoring two goals in a three minute span.
The Student Princes held a commanding edge in shots, 17-8.
Carson Foor (three saves) and
Anton Favre (two saves) split time in goal for the Brits.
The Britons slip to 2-4-1 overall as Heidelberg moves back to .500 at 4-4.
Albion hosts UW-Platteville on Thursday for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The game has been moved up a day from the originally scheduled Oct. 1 match.
