FRANKLIN, Ind. -- For 94 minutes, both the Albion College and Franklin College women's soccer teams were held scoreless. But, a penalty kick goal from junior Rayna Edwards in overtime lifted the Britons, 1-0, in their first game in 11 days. 

Albion improves to 4-1 overall on the season. 

Albion held most of the momentum throughout the match, tallying 12 shots compared to Franklin's five. The Britons also held the edge in corner kicks, 6-1. 

A foul on the Grizzlies midway through the first overtime drew a penalty kick. Edwards buried the free kick into the back of the net to send the Britons home victorious. 

Avery Campbell, Nina Smith and Megan Loney recorded two shots on net. 

Goalkeeper Romee Natschke made three saves in the clean sheet.

The Britons will play their long-awaited home opener on Sunday when they host Mt. St. Joseph. Game time is slated for 12 p.m.
