ALMA, Mich. -- It was a tough day on the courts for the Albion College women's tennis team, falling to Alma College, 8-1.
Freshman
Josie Dunn earned her first collegiate victory at third singles, winning by scores of 6-2, 6-3.Â
At fourth singles,
Alura Reed narrowly fell in a tiebreaker, 6-2, 5-7, 10-6.
On Friday,
Katie Valade and
Saige Jost competed at the ITA Regionals, held by Kalamazoo College. Both dropped their singles matches, as they faced off against tough opponents with high rankings.Â
In the doubles play, the duo fell to Lake Forest and North Central.Â
The women's tennis team is back in action on Oct. 2 when they host Anderson for an 11 a.m. match.
