Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Milestones, career-highs give WLAX win in Ohio

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – Two milestones and two career days helped the Albion College women's lacrosse team throttle Muskingum University, 24-4, on Sunday afternoon. Junior Addie Pastor scored seven goals in the win.

Freshman Aaliyah Eudabe had a tremendous day in her second collegiate game, scoring six goals, while dishing out one assist. Senior midfielder Chrystelle Lopez finished with seven points – four goals and three assists.

The seven goals is a career-high for Pastor and the six is the best so far for Eudabe.

With a goal in the first quarter, Destiny Okon reached the 100 career point mark, becoming just the 11th player in history to do so. Abby Sheklow also hit a career milestone, scoring her 100th career goal. She is just the sixth player all-time to reach the accomplishment.

Leading 7-2 after one, three of Pastor's seven goals came in the opening quarter. Eudabe found the back of the net twice, while Okon and Lopez tacked on a goal of their own each.

Albion outscored the Muskies 5-0 in the second, taking a 13-2 lead into the half. Lopez, Eudabe and Sheklow scores were followed up by a second from Sheklow and Pastor's fourth of the afternoon.

Okon ignited the scoring in the second half before Pastor tacked on a fifth on a free position goal. A Muskingum goal was answered by another free position goal – this one by Lopez. The hosts' final goal of the day came with 3:20 to play in the third quarter.

Albion netted three goals in the first five minutes of the fourth, thanks to Lopez, Eudabe and Pastor. Sophomore Keiley Black found the back of the net off a feed from Lopez for her first goal of 2022.

Pastor tacked on her seventh of the day before Black found Olivia Dameron for her first collegiate goal, as Albion held a commanding 22-4 edge. Eudabe and Amelia Stevenson capped off the scoring for the Britons.

Black and Julia Ames each picked up four ground balls. Pastor caused a team-high three turnovers in the win.

Albion outshot the Muskies, 35-10. The Brits were near-perfect on the clear, going 16 of 17 on their attempts.

Senior goalie Alexis Robinson made three saves in the win.

The Britons (1-1) will have almost a week off before hosting Hanover College in a men's-women's doubleheader. Game time is scheduled for 12 p.m.
