Women's tennis falls to Pfeiffer University

The Albion women's tennis team lost 0-9 to Pfeiffer University on Thursday. The loss wraps up the fourth day of competition during the Britons' trip to South Carolina. However, there was one bright side to Thursday's event: Sophomore Alura Reed and junior Lilianna Robinson picked up a win during an exhibition doubles match 8-6.

On the doubles side, Saige Jost and Katie Valade tried to mount a comeback, but couldn't hang on, and lost 6-8. Meanwhile, Savannah McDonald and Ellie Debo and Breh Ruger and Valde lost their matches 1-8 and 2-8, respectively.

On the singles side, Jost kept things close, falling 6-4 in the second set and losing the match. Breh Reuger, meanwhile, had to retire halfway through her first set with an injury.

Barring a rainout, the Britons will wrap up spring break with a match against Buena Vista University. They return to Michigan next week, where they will play at Hope College on March 26th.
