WTEN drops match to Cairn

HILTON HEAD, SC – It was a tough day on the courts for the Albion College women's tennis team, falling 7-0 to Cairn University.

At first and second doubles, Albion put together a pair of good matches, but came up just short. Kate Valade and Breh Ruger dropped an 8-5 decision at first doubles. At second doubles, the team of Saige Jost and Josie Dunn fell 8-6.

Valade lost her match at second singles in a narrow tiebreaker.

Alura Reed also turned in a tight contest in her singles match, falling 7-5, 6-4.

The Britons will play Brevard College on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
