BLUFFTON, Ohio — A come from behind victory and a game-winner from a freshman lifted the Albion College men's soccer team to a 3-2 win over Bluffton University.
After Bluffton scored early on, sophomore
Riley Folk netted his third goal of the season in the 12th minute. For another 10 minutes, the score would remain tied at one before the Beavers broke through.
Less than three minutes later, Albion was awarded a free kick. A long ball was beautifully played by senior captain
Carter Peek.
Mau Tavera redirected the ball to
Brett Swaton. Swaton connected on a one touch past the Bluffton keeper to knot the game at two.
After a halftime score of 2-2, freshman
Jonathan Euceda scored the GWG for the Britons early in the second half.
Grady Lycan found the freshman for a 3-2 advantage.
Albion keeper
Anton Favre made two saves.
The teams combined for 35 fouls and nine cautions.
On Sunday, the Brits host Heidelberg for a 1 p.m. start.
