ALBION, Mich. – Closing out their fall schedules, the Albion College tennis teams faced off against Concordia Ann Arbor. The men's team won by a 7-2 margin, as the women's side narrowly fell, 5-4
On the men's side,
Josh Doyle and
Jacob Doyle continued their success with an 8-5 win at first doubles. Picking up an 8-3 win at second doubles was
Drake Malcolm and
Brendan Morrison. At singles play, Morrison and Malcolm won at first and second singles, while
Josh Doyle earned a win at third singles.
Jacob Doyle won his fifth singles match, while
Jacob Kubiak rounded out the team with a win in the final singles match.
For the women,
Abbie Hubbard and
Jaymee Herrington worked their way to an 8-6 victory at third doubles. At third singles, Kelley Black won by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Albion's final two wins came at fifth and sixth singles, thanks to
Savannah McDonald and
Molly Dunn.
The Britons resume competition for the full slate in the spring semester.
