Women's soccer falls in MIAA Semifinals

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Just over a week after upsetting Calvin University, the Albion College women's soccer team fell 1-0 in the MIAA Semifinals. The Knights scored in the 70th minute, controlling most of the game. 

Albion had two decent scoring chances, but could not capitalize against the No. 17 ranked team in the nation. With chances limited and time winding down, Calvin netted the game-winner with just over 20 minutes remaining in regulation. 

Romee Natschke made five saves for the Brits. The loss ends the careers of Natschke, Abby Rose, Avery Campbell, Colette Askins and Quinn Natschke. The impact the quintet has made during their time at Albion is remarkable and will be felt for the coming seasons.

Albion concludes the season with a 6-2-10 overall record in the first year of the Ron Rainey era.
