MBB falls to No. 11 Calvin on Senior Night

ALBION – From the jump, No. 11 Calvin University had total control, defeating the Albion College men's basketball team, 77-58. 

Leading the way for Albion was Ken Thomas, scoring 16 points in the regular season finale. Fellow senior Jonathan Armstead-Wilkserson added 11 points and contributed a team-high four assists. AJ Barden was the only other Albion player to finish in double figures, scoring 10 points. 

The Knights – a NCAA team a season ago – commanded the game early on, taking a 46-25 lead into halftime. Despite Albion outscoring the visitors in the second half, the lead was too large for the Britons to overcome. 

Calvin scored 27 points off turnovers. 

Albion has secured the No. 5 seed for next week's MIAA Tournament. On Wednesday, the Brits will head to Olivet College for a 7 p.m. tip.
