MBB falls in MIAA Quarterfinals

OLIVET, Mich. – On Thursday, the Albion College men's basketball team came up short in the MIAA Quarterfinal, dropping a 78-73 contest to Olivet College. The Comets buried a pair of late threes that were the dagger in the game.

Both Fred Garland and Ken Thomas each scored 20 points in the loss. Thomas brought down seven rebounds, as Garland finished the night with six assists and five boards. 

Throughout the first half, Olivet and Albion traded runs and momentum shifts, with the hosts taking a small lead into the locker room

Over the final few minutes, Olivet knocked down a pair of threes to boost their lead to nine and make a comeback too hard for the Britons. 

Albion's season comes to an end with a 7-19 mark.
