Men's lacrosse remains perfect, routs Dubuque

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Another strong team performance helped the Albion College men's lacrosse team remain perfect, defeating Dubuque 20-8. Twelve different players recorded points in the win, including four-point efforts from Timmy Salinas, Ethan Rottell and Jace Conley. 

Albion broke out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back. Sam Puzevic and Jacob Castles each scored within the first five minutes to put the Britons ahead from the get go. Conley and Rottell added goals in the first period, as well as one each from Fabrizio Raciti and Cal Stearns.

In the second, Marcus Haynie scored twice, as well as Robbie Dameron and another from Puzevic. With five minutes before the break, the Britons would hold a commanding lead. Conley tacked on another before halftime, giving Albion an 11-2 edge. 

The Britons kept dominating the attack for the remainder of the game, as Matt Montgomery and Brendan Mercier would each score twice throughout the second half. 

Another near-perfect afternoon on the clear, the Britons completed 20 of 21 chances. 

Eddie Symons recorded another strong day from the face off X, going 10 of 18. 

Jack Gogonis earned the win in goal, as Jack Erickson, Bradley Luketic and Alec Markley all earned time in goal

Albion returns home on Wednesday when they host The College of Wooster. Game time is scheduled for 6 p.m.
