Softball swept in MIAA twinbill

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The story was all Calvin University, as the Albion College softball team was swept by the Knights. Albion's offense was stymied as the Knights took the doubleheader with scores of 5-0 and 12-0. 

In game one, the Knights struck for three in the bottom of the first to hold a lead early. It would be plenty, as the Brits mustered just three hits in the game. As a team, the Britons struck out seven times. 

Albion recorded just one hit in the nightcap, as the Knights put up nine runs in the sixth inning of game two. 

Albion will have another tough test on Saturday when they head to Trine – the defending National Runner-Up. Game times will be at 1 and 3 p.m.
