Game Recap: Women's Lacrosse |

Friday Night Lights: WLAX rolls past Adrian

Aaliyah Eudabe's seven points helped Albion earn an MIAA win

ALBION – They needed this.

Coming off a pair of tough one goal losses, the Albion College women's lacrosse team erased an early deficit to defeat Adrian College, 18-7. Sophomore Aaliyah Eudabe tied a career-high, registering seven points, scoring five goals and adding two assists.

Within the first five minutes, things looked bleak for the Britons, facing a 3-0 deficit. Julia Ames controlled the draw and within a minute, Albion got on the board thanks to a goal from Addie Pastor. Olivia Dameron brought the Brits to within one, but the Bulldogs responded with a goal at the other end.

Albion closed out the final 3:34 of the first quarter on a 4-0 run, with two goals by Eudabe, one from Pastor and Kellie Flynn's twelfth goal of the season. After one, the hosts led 6-4.

Eudabe connected with Pastor to give Albion a 7-4 lead. Midway through the second quarter, Albion held a 9-4 advantage, as Dameron struck again and Angelina Mendieta added a goal to her stat line. Eudabe, Pastor and Kyndall Lewis all tallied goals before the break, giving the Britons a 12-5 lead at the half.

Freshman Logan Hutchinson opened the new half with a goal. Albion scored three times in two minutes to put them over the 10 goal threshold and keep the clock running.

Freshman Nicole Miller (4-6) earned the win, making five saves in goal. Mendieta caused six turnovers and controlled eight draws, while picking up four ground balls.

Albion outshot the Bulldogs, 41-16.

The Britons will travel to Hope on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. first draw.
