Women's soccer battles to scoreless draw

GRANVILLE, Ohio – In their second straight road contest, the Albion College women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 draw against Denison University. The Brits hung tough with a gritty Denison squad. 

In the 14th minute, the Big Red had their best opportunity to get on the board. After being awarded a corner kick, Denison got a clear look at a header. What appeared to be a sure goal was flicked over the crossbar by Romee Natschke, preserving the 0-0 score. 

Albion had a good look late in the first half, but Ella Jeske's shot found the hands of the Big Red keeper. 

Both teams worked to limit scoring opportunities throughout the second half. Natschke tallied six saves in net to earn the clean sheet. 

The Britons will host Mount Saint Joseph University on Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. start.
