Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's soccer knocks off MSJ in thriller

Quinn Natschke's GWG was scored in the 66th minute.

ALBION – Trying to avoid their third straight draw, the Albion College women's soccer team capitalized on a second half set piece, defeating Mount Saint Joseph, 1-0. Quinn Natschke scored the game-winner, as her sister Romee Natschke recorded her second straight clean sheet in goal.

Late in the first half, it appeared MSJ took the lead, as a rebound bounced around and was controlled by the Lions before finding the back of the net. The goal was waived off for offsides, keeping the two teams locked scoreless at halftime.

In the second half, after an Albioon shot went wide, the AR deemed it was partially touched by a MSJ player, giving the Britons a corner. Senior Abby Rose played a beautiful ball into the box, where the 5-10 Natschke headed the ball into the back of the net, putting the hosts ahead.

Moments later, the Lions looked for the equalizer, but the MSJ shot hit the crossbar before being cleared out by the Briton defense.

Albion has a quick turnaround, heading to Franklin tomorrow. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
