Men's basketball falters in Holland

HOLLAND, Mich. – On Wednesday, RV Hope College knocked off the Albion College men's basketball team, 78-63. Hope built a lead as large as 10 points in the first half and never looked back.

In a sluggish offensive night, only two Albion players finished in double figures – Kam Mayes and Kurtis Rhodes. Mayes was Albion's leading scorer with 14 points, as Rhodes added 12 off the bench.

As Albion tried to slowly chip away in the second half, Hope consistently had an answer at the offensive end. The Flying Dutch sank nine 3-pointers in the win – all coming in big moments to halt Briton momentum.

Albion struggled with Hope's size inside. The Flying Dutch blocked 10 of Albion's shots in the contest.

Jaylen Flaniken led Albion on the boards, bringing in seven rebounds.

The Britons wrap up a three-game road streak with a 3 p.m. tip at Alma Saturday.
