Medina scores in home draw

ALBION – Back on their home pitch, the Albion College men's soccer team settled for a 1-1 draw against Great Lakes Christian College. The Britons held the edge in shots and corners, but were unable to find the game-winner in the second half. 

In the 23rd minute, sophomore Lucas Media got the Britons on the board. His shot from far out snuck past the GLCC keeper's legs, boosting the hosts to an early 1-0 advantage.

A mishap from the defense allowed the Crusaders to knot the game late in the first half, going into halftime locked at one goal apiece. 

Despite racking up 21 shots, Albion could not find the winner. The Britons also finished with 15 corner kicks, compared to none from GLCC. 

Next Wednesday, the Brits host Trine University for a 7 p.m. start, commencing MIAA action.
