Hutchinson tallies hat trick in spring break finale

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – It was a tough matchup for the Albion College women's lacrosse team, falling 15-3 to an undefeated University of the Cumberlands squad. 

All three of Albion's goals came from sophomore Logan Hutchinson. At halftime, the Britons trailed by just a 4-2 margin before the Patriots rattled off six straight goals to open the new half. The momentum was briefly broken up by Hutchinson, assisted by Ellen Chown. 

Defensively, Albion was led by two caused turnovers by McKenna Shearer. 

Cumberlands outshot the Britons in the contest, 31-19. Albion struggled on the clear as well, completing just 18 of 27 attempts. 

The Britons will be idle until Mar. 16 when they head to John Carroll University for a 1 p.m. contest.
