Eudabe's eight points gives WLAX road win

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Aaliyah Eudabe's career night helped the Albion College women's lacrosse team defeat Kalamazoo College, 18-8. Eudabe finished with eight points, scoring six goals and dishing out a pair of assists.

Sophomore Logan Hutchinson contributed five points, coming off four goals and an assist.

Through one quarter, the Britons had built a 6-1 lead. Eudabe netted three of her six goals in the first 15 minutes, while sophomore Ellen Chow scored twice in the opening period. Hutchinson's first of the day came in the first quarter, helping the visitors lead early on.

Albion added six more goals in the second period, with Audrey DeWaters scoring a pair for the Brits. Chown, Hutchinson and Eudabe all tallied goals for Albion, while Kyndall Lewis scored her first of the day. At halftime, the Britons had built a 12-4 lead.

In the third, Hutchinson scored her final three goals of the day mixed in with another from Eudabe. Albion's final two goals came from Kellie Flynn and the sixth of the day from Eudabe.

The Britons were incredible on the clear, converting 18 of 20 attempts. DeWaters led Albion with eight draw controls.

Albion's defense, primarily led by Julia Ames, McKenna Shearer and Ashleigh Toth, did a marvelous job at holding the MIAA's leading scorer, Ella Spooner, to limited points on the evening. Nicole Miller made 13 saves in net for the Britons.

On Saturday, Albion heads to Adrian College for a 1 p.m. game.
