Men's golf has stellar day, wins Cascades Invitational

JACKSON, Mich. – Shooting their lowest tournament round since the late 2000s, the Albion College men's golf team won the Cascades Invitational with a round of 292. Three Britons finished with PRs, while the women's team took second with a 336.

Sophomore Blake Wagner earned medalist honors with a personal best round of 71. Ryan Knitter also carded a PR with a score of 72, as Brendan Iatrow was next for the Britons with a 73. Freshman Brayden Goss's 76 was a new PR, while a 78 by Camden Paul rounded out the lineup.

Competing as individuals were Dom Orlando, Vaughn Rogers and Zachary Kapuga. Kapuga shot an 80, as both Rogers and Orlando finished with 85s.

On the women's side, seniors Kenzie Gillette and Emily Abramczyk led Albion with scores of 83. Freshman Taylore Wilson was next for Albion, carding an 84, as Sabrina Fitzgerald tallied an 86. Zoe Autore rounded out the team with a 96.

As individuals, Miranda McKee shot a 95 and Riley McKinney totaled a 102.
