Brits bounced by Dutch

HOLLAND, Mich. – Unable to take the momentum from Friday's big win into Saturday, the Albion College baseball team was swept by Hope College on Saturday afternoon. The Flying Dutch won game one, 15-2 and game two, 15-5.

Mark Lauro and Matt McGann led Albion in game one, each finishing with two hits. Albion's runs came in the sixth, when Lauro led off with a single and Kris Stojanovski crushed another double. McGann followed with an opposite field single for Albion's first run. 

The second run of game one came off the bat of sophomore Garrett Draper. 

In the second game, Evan Schuster led the Britons, going 2 for 4 with three RBI. For the fourth time in five games, senior Braeden Emery went yard, smashing a two-run home run in the second inning of game two. 

Schuster recorded a two-run single and the Britons received a sac fly from McGann. Albion's final run came courtesy of Schuster. 

Albion hosts Calvin University on Thursday for the single game of the series. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
