DELAWARE, Ohio – Hanging tough with one of the region's perennial powers, the Albion College men's lacrosse team dropped 15-8 to Ohio Wesleyan University. 

Sophomore Marcus Haynie led Albion with three points, coming off two goals and an assist. Fellow sophomore Cal Stearns scored a pair of goals as well. 

Through one period, the Battling Bishops held a 4-2 advantage. Albion's goals in the first came from Keegan Pastor and Timmy Salinas. In the second, goals from Haynie and Robbie Damron cut the OWU lead to 5-4. Ohio Wesleyan tacked on one more score before the end of the half, holding a 6-4 lea

In the third, the Britons worked to cut the Ohio Wesleyan advantage to 9-8 with minimal time remaining in the quarter. An experienced OWU squad went on to outscore the Britons 5-0 in the final quarter, creating distance to secure the win. 

Freshman Caleb Howell made 16 saves in net. 

Albion hosts Calvin on Wednesday for the team's annual Vs. Cancer game. The game is set for a 7 p.m. start.
