Baseball wraps up season on Senior Day

ALBION – On Senior Day and in the season finale, the Albion College baseball team was swept by Adrian College. Between games, the Brits celebrated Mark Lauro, Matt McGann, Teddy Brimblecombe, Scotty Clippert, Nick Baidoon and Reece Comerford. 

Adrian won game one by a 12-6 margin before hanging on for an 11-8 victory in the nightcap. 

With two RBI in game two, Lauro eclipsed the 100 career RBI milestone. 

In game one, the Britons were led by sophomore Evan Schuster, who went 3 for 5 at the plate, driving in a pair. Ryker Mazey and Mark Lauro each added two hits, as Mazey recorded two RBI.

McGann and Lauro's storied careers at Albion ended fittingly with three hits apiece – each getting one in their final at bats. The two combined to go 6 for 10 and drove in three. 

Logan Farmer, Garrett Draper and Braeden Emery all racked up two hits apiece. 

Albion's season comes to a close with a 16-22 overall record.
