Men's Golf

Men's golf shoots Saturday low, takes fourth

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Shooting the best score of the day, the Albion College men's golf team moved up two spots to finish fourth at the Lou Collins Memorial Classic. On Saturday, the Britons shot a 302, good for a 13-stroke improvement from round one. 

Blake Wagner's 72 on Saturday was a team-low, helping him finish tied for seventh overall. Ryan Knitter took 11th overall with a 76 on Saturday. Freshman Bradley Davis saw the biggest improvement from day one to day two, carding a 75. 

Alex Olmsted's 79 and Camden Paul's 81 rounded out the team for the Brits. 

Freshmen Nicholas Giannone (79) and Matt Sypienewski (84), along with Vaughn Rogers (83) and Dom Orlando (82) competed as individuals. 

Albion hosts the Cascades Clash on Wednesday with a 10 a.m. start time.
