ALMA, Mich. -- Anna Schaibly has continued to impress in her debut season.
The freshman won MIAA Jamboree No. 4 outright with a 72, two strokes ahead of second place, to lead the Albion women's golf team to a tie for fourth as a team with Calvin (317 strokes) at Pine River Country Club.
Schaibly's score was not only a career-low, but the best round of any golfer at the course ever in an MIAA round.
She also became the first Albion golfer to win an MIAA event since AnnMarie Jasieniecki when she won the tournament in 2006.
Playing a par 71 at 5,663 yards,
Taylore Wilson was the Britons' next best competitor with an 80 that tied her for 16th.
Anna's sister,
Aubrie Schaibly, came in 21st with a mark of 81, while
Payton LaRowe and
Julia Sambaer each shot an 84 to tie for 25th.
Rowan Bluhm competed individually and also notched an 84.
