Eudabe's eight points earns WLAX road win

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – Aaliyah Eudabe's eight points sparked the Albion College women's lacrosse team's offense in a 21-15 win at Augustana College. The eight points ties her for her career-high in a single game.

The Britons opened the game on a 6-0 run and led 8-3 through one quarter. Six different players netted goals in the opening period, highlighted by two each from Kellie Flynn and Kyndall Lewis. Albion continued to pressure the Vikings in the second quarter, building to a 13-5 advantage at halftime. Junior Ellen Chown scored twice in the period, while Eudabe added two more goals for the Brits. 

After Augustana scored twice to start the new half, Flynn answered with two goals of her own. Anna Huard scored a hat trick in the contest, while Elissa Slane and Lewis each finished with two goals and one assist each. 

Chown controlled six draws and Slane caused a career-high two turnovers. Flynn led Albion with four ground balls. 

On the clear, the Britons were incredibly efficient, converting 20 of 23 clears. Albion connected on three of its four free position shots, and scored four man-up goals.

Nicole Miller earned the win, making five saves in goal. Kyleigh Johnson played the final period, tallying four saves.


Albion will end its Illinois trip tomorrow with a 12 p.m. CST game at The University of Chicago.
