Saint Vincent knocks off baseball

AUBURNDALE, Fla. – A woeful day in the field cost the Albion College baseball team, dropping a 7-3 contest to Saint Vincent. As a team, the Britons committed five errors and allowed five unearned runs. 

In the third, Albion pushed across a pair of runs. Freshman Gavin White knocked a single to left and Braeden Emery followed with a single the other way. After a double steal, the two came in to score when Evan Schuster's grounder through the left side found its way to left field. 

The Britons got their third run in the bottom of the seventh. Carson Dunn bunted his way aboard and thanks to a Bearcat error, made his way to third. Two batters later, Emery drove in Dunn for Albion's final run of the day.

Daniel Bruzdewicz and Brandon Lipson did well on the bump. Bruzdewicz went 5.1 innings, striking out four and allowing just five hits. Lipson threw the last 3.2 frames, fanning five. 

On Wednesday, Albion will take on North Central University at 12:45 p.m.
