Softball swept by Hornets

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Albion College softball team was swept by Kalamazoo College on Thursday. Kalamazoo won a tight game one 4-2 before dropping the Britons 9-0 in the nightcap. 

In game one, Kearney Miller drove in both runs. Freshman Natalie Kinney was 2 for 3, scoring both of the Briton runs. Lilly Zaskowski threw six innings in the circle, allowing just five Kalamazoo hits and three earned runs. 

The story was all Kalamazoo in game two, limiting the Britons to just one hit. Parker Douglass's pinch-hit single broke up the no-hitter in the bottom of the fifth inning. 

Albion heads to Olivet Friday for games beginning at 3 and 5 p.m.
