MLAX's run ends in NCAA Tournament

GROVE CITY, Pa. – In the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Albion College men's lacrosse team saw its season come to a close following an 18-3 loss to Grove City College.

Albion's goals came from Keegan Pastor, Cal Stearns and Brendan Mercier. Stearns and Pastor, along with senior attacker Andrew Miller recorded assists in the game. Will Tessin's two caused turnovers led Albion.

"I just want to say how proud the institution is of these guys," said head coach, Jake DeCola. "These guys work incredibly hard and I am so happy for the seniors."

"I feel so blessed to be here," said senior co-captain, Jack Erickson. "There are great programs with great coaches all across the country that work 15 years to go to the show one time … And here I am twice … that's what Albion College does, we play for every championship every year for a chance to go to the show."

"It's an expectation for us to get back here," added Stearns. "We play for championships … We want to etch our legacy even more by getting back here and doubling down on the hard work."

The senior class of Robbie Dameron, Jack Heft, Jack Erickson, Ryan Meldrum, Brendan Mercier, Jackson Taylor, Fabrizio Raciti, Nathan Vesper, Keegan Pastor, Andrew Miller, Sebastian Aheimer, Will Tessin and James Ammons can say they ended their careers by making two trips to the NCAA Tournament.
