Men's golf places fifth, Knitter claims Sportsmanship Award

COLDWATER, Mich. – Wrapping up the 2024-25 campaign, the Albion College men's golf team took fifth at the MIAA Spring Finale. Over the two-day tournament, the Brits shot a 314-310 – 624. Following the tournament, junior Ryan Knitter was honored with the MIAA Sportsmanship Award. 

Knitter's sportsmanship award is voted on by his conference opponents. This award is given to someone who demonstrates outstanding ethical conduct and golf sportsmanship. 

Blake Wagner and Camden Paul each finished tied for seventh overall. Wagner totaled a 75-76 – 152, as Paul saw a six-stroke improvement from Wednesday to Thursday with a 79-73 – 152. 

Knitter wrapped up the season with a 79-80 – 159. Freshman Nicholas Giannone was the next Albion player to finish, carding a 80-81–161 and classmate Bradley Davis shot a 83-83–166. Vaughn Rogers rounded out the Britons with a 84-90 – 174.
