Offensive Fireworks on Display as Britons Cruise Over Scots

ALBION, Mich. – An offensive explosion occurred inside Kresge Gymnasium for the Albion men's basketball team.

Led by 10 three-pointers and a 52.5 field goal percentage, the Britons took down Alma, 87-60. It was the second-most points they have scored all season long and most since November 14 against Westminster.

Albion took their first lead four minutes in and never looked back. It grew to double digits, 21-11, with 9:46 left in the first half on a Mason Brodi layup.

The Scots made it a four-point contest two minutes later, but a 9-0 run by the Britons helped get their advantage back to double figures closing the half up 40-26.

Two triples from Truman King increased Albion's advantage more to begin the second half while the lead grew to 26, 56-30, with 14:38 remaining.

It was the largest advantage of the night for Albion until an Austin Miller three made it a 29-point lead with two minutes left.

Dwayne Ray had a season-high 16 points, while Truman King notched a career-best with 16 as well, including four triples. Kam Mayes also chipped in 13 points and had six assists.

As a team, the Britons only committed 10 turnovers while forcing 24. They also scored 36 points off the bench and 24 off turnovers.
