BALTIMORE, Md. — It was a beautiful performance for the Albion women's lacrosse team in Charm City.
The Britons unleashed their offense and bested Notre Dame of Maryland, 23-1.
It was their most goals scored in a game since March 26, 2023 against North Central and their largest margin of victory since their 29-2 victory over Olivet in 2017.
Albion piled up nine scores in the first, highlighted by a hat trick from
Ellen Chown in the period. They scored five more in the second, two of which came on man-up opportunities, to take a 14-0 lead into halftime.
Four different Britons scored in the third, and four more hit the back of the net in the fourth. Albion did not allow their one goal until 8:30 left in the fourth.
Anna Huard recorded eight goals, while Chown had four.
Logan Hutchinson had a hat trick herself, while
Hayla-Lyn Gilly,
Lauren Thomas and
Abbey Scott each had two.
The Britons committed just seven turnovers and forced 18 from the Gators. They also outshot them, 47-6.
Nicole Miller made five saves in net as well.
